Human Retinol Binding Protein 3, Interstitial ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers this sandwich ELISA for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Retinol Binding Protein 3, Interstitial (RBP3/IRBP). It is reactive with human samples and is intended for use with tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for RBP3/IRBP pre-coated onto the wells of a microplate. Standards and test samples are added, the wells are washed, and a Biotinylated Anti-RBP3/IRBP Antibody is applied, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After further incubation and washing, a TMB substrate is added; the resulting blue product turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The manufacturer reports an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.051 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Reported recovery values are serum 80%-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%-100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80%-89% (average 84%).

Components supplied include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
