Human Retinol Binding Protein 1, Cellular ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Retinol Binding Protein 1 (RBP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids (S1). The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, runs in 4 hours 30 minutes, and is read colorimetrically on a microplate reader at 450 nm (S1). The quoted assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.061 ng/ml (S1).

Recovery was assessed across sample matrices. Undiluted samples (n=5) gave averages of 91% for Serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA Plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% for Heparin Plasma (range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 produced ranges of 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for Serum (n=5); 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA Plasma (n=5); and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for Heparin Plasma (n=5) (S1).

Components are stored across +4°C and -20°C depending on item, with the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), detection solutions A and B, and sample dilution buffer held at -20°C, while the wash buffer (30X, 20 ml), TMB substrate (9 ml) and stop solution (6 ml) are kept at +4°C; five adhesive plate sealers are included (S1).
