Human Retinoid X Receptor Alpha ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Retinoid X Receptor alpha (RXRA) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate and a biotinylated anti-RXRA detection antibody with HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting yellow product is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader and is proportional to RXRA concentration, calculated against a standard curve.

Manufacturer-quoted performance includes a measuring range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.116 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery was 80–102% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 81–100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (n=5 each) was 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma and 82–105% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed.
