A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, this kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Retinoic Acid Receptor beta in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids [S1][S2]. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Retinoic Acid Receptor beta pre-coated onto a microtiter plate [S1][S2]. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Retinoic Acid Receptor beta Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate [S1][S2]. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader [S1][S2].

Sensitivity is 0.057 ng/ml with a quantitative measuring range of 0.156-10 ng/ml [S1][S2]. Recovery in serum averages 91% (range 80%-102%), in EDTA plasma averages 90% (range 81%-100%) and in heparin plasma averages 84% (range 80%-89%) [S1]. The colorimetric assay runs on a pre-coated microplate platform with a total assay time of 4h 30m and is for research use only [S1][S2].

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed [S1][S2].
