Human Reticulocalbin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Reticulocalbin 2 (RCN2) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. It uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and follows a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format in which an antibody specific for RCN2 is immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-RCN2 Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of RCN2 captured. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration calculated by referring to the standard curve.

The assay has a stated range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.122 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported recovery data (averages, n=5) are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma, with linearity ranges reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for each of these sample types.
