Human Resistin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Resistin in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. The quantitative assay uses a monoclonal antibody specific for human Resistin immobilised onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by a biotin-linked detection antibody specific for Resistin. After removal of unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added for a second incubation, substrate solution reacts with HRP, and colour development is stopped by addition of acid before the optical density is read on a microplate reader.

The kit can assay both native and recombinant human Resistin and has shown no significant cross-reactivity. Quantitative figures include a sensitivity of <2.67 pg/ml, a product range of 31.25 - 2000 pg/ml, and an average recovery of 93% from serum samples. Detection is colorimetric on a microplate platform; the kit should be stored at +4°C and not used past its expiration date.
