Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human REG1 alpha (Regenerating Islet Derived Protein 1 Alpha) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with colorimetric detection, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and concentrations calculated against the supplied standard curve.

The kit covers a measuring range of 62.5–4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <27.6 pg/ml, and the full protocol takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Spiked recovery across the recommended sample matrices was reported as follows: serum averaged 91% (range 83–100%, n=5), EDTA plasma averaged 96% (range 90–103%, n=5) and heparin plasma averaged 95% (range 89–102%, n=5). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions was also characterised for each matrix.

Components supplied include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, two vials of lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X wash buffer (20 ml), sample dilution buffer (45 ml), TMB substrate (9 ml), stop solution (6 ml) and five adhesive plate sealers. Storage temperatures differ by component: the plate, lyophilised standard, both detection solutions and sample dilution buffer are held at -20°C, while the 30X wash buffer, TMB substrate and stop solution are kept at +4°C.
