Human Reelin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Reelin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate arranged in a 12 x 8 well strip format. An antibody specific for Reelin is immobilised on the plate; standards and test samples are added, and captured Reelin is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Reelin Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, a TMB substrate is added and the reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution, producing a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm is read on a colorimetric microplate reader and compared against a standard curve.

The reported sensitivity is <0.056 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a total run time of approximately 4h 30m. Average recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–99%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Reported dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 spans 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma and 82–105% for heparin plasma. The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage between +4°C and –20°C as instructed.
