Human Receptor Activator Of Nuclear Factor Kappa B ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Receptor Activator Of Nuclear Factor Kappa B (RANK) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and the sandwich immunoassay technique. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where RANK is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-RANK Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the RANK concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The reported sensitivity is <0.054 ng/ml with a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery data are provided (n=5) for serum (range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is also reported: serum 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%; EDTA plasma 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; heparin plasma 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.
