Human Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Alpha ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human pyruvate dehydrogenase alpha (PDHA1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and a biotinylated anti-PDHA1 detection antibody with an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the colourimetric reaction is read as O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and quantified against a standard curve.

Reported performance includes an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.078 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5), and samples showed consistent linearity at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
