Human Purinergic Receptor P2Y, G Protein Coupled 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, the Human P2Y1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of human P2Y1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for P2Y1 that is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added into the wells and P2Y1 present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation, the wells are washed and incubated with a Biotinylated Anti-P2Y1 Antibody that binds the captured P2Y1. HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added to the wells. A TMB substrate solution is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction by catalysis to produce a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of P2Y1 captured in each well, and the concentration of P2Y1 is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

Reactive with human samples and read on a colorimetric microplate reader, the assay has a reported range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.059 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
