Human Purinergic Receptor P2X, Ligand Gated Ion Channel 7 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables in vitro quantitative determination of human P2X7 (Purinergic Receptor P2X, Ligand Gated Ion Channel 7) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for P2X7, followed by a biotinylated anti-P2X7 detection antibody and an HRP conjugate, with TMB substrate for colour development read at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is 0.112 ng/ml with a quantitative range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery has been characterised across serum (n=5, range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%, average 84%). Linearity has been demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same matrices.

The kit includes pre-coated 12 x 8 well microplate strips, a lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers. The full protocol is completed in 4 hours 30 minutes with colourmetric end-point detection on a standard microplate reader, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
