Human PTGES ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Prostaglandin E Synthase (MPGES-1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip microplate, a biotinylated detection antibody, an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

The total assay time is 4 hours. The standard curve range is 1.563–100 ng/mL, with a sensitivity of <0.938 ng/mL. The kit is specific for Prostaglandin E Synthase/MPGES-1 with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Reported average recovery values from spike-and-recovery experiments (n=10) are 93% for serum (range 87%–104%), 97% for EDTA plasma (range 92%–105%) and 100% for heparin plasma (range 90%–105%). Dilution linearity has also been characterised across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=10 each).

Kit reagents include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, sample dilution buffer, biotinylated detection antibody, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer (25×), adhesive plate sealers and a zip-sealed foil pouch. The kit is shipped at +4°C and components are stored at +4°C (or as instructed in the protocol manual); freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided. Detection is performed on a colorimetric microplate reader.
