Human Protein Z ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Protein Z in plasma. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) onto which an antibody specific for Protein Z has been immobilised. Standards and samples are added to the wells and the Protein Z present is captured by the immobilised antibody. Following washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Protein Z Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow on addition of acidic stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and Protein Z concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The reported sensitivity is <0.073 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m and detection is colorimetric. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Manufacturer recovery data: Serum (n=5) average 91% across 80%-102%; EDTA Plasma (n=5) average 90% across 81%-100%; Heparin Plasma (n=5) average 84% across 80%-89%. Dilution linearity is reported for Serum, EDTA Plasma and Heparin Plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
