Human Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type S ELISA Kit

This sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Receptor Type S (PTPRS) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for PTPRS. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; captured PTPRS is detected using a biotinylated anti-PTPRS antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. After addition of the acidic stop solution, absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of PTPRS is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The kit is reactive with human samples. The manufacturer reports a sensitivity of <0.27 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Reported recovery values are 80–102% for serum (n=5, average 91%), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%), and 80–89% for heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is given as 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum (n=5); 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma (n=5). Components should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
