Human Protein S ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Human Protein S ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Protein S in plasma. The kit has been validated for use with human samples and employs colourimetric detection read on a microplate reader at 450 nm.

Quantitative performance includes a working range of 1.56-100 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.73 ng/ml. The pre-coated microplate-based assay runs in 4 hours 30 minutes. Captured Protein S is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Protein S Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate, with the enzymatic reaction visualised using TMB substrate to produce a yellow product whose absorbance is read against a standard curve.

Recovery validation in serum (n=5) showed an average of 91% (range 80%-102%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) an average of 90% (range 81%-100%), and in heparin plasma (n=5) an average of 84% (range 80%-89%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions was demonstrated for serum (87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%), EDTA plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%), and heparin plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
