Human Proteasome Subunit Alpha Type 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for the Antibodies.com catalogue, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Proteasome 20S C2/HC2, also referred to as Proteasome Subunit Alpha Type 1, in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with colourmetric detection read at 450 nm on a colourmetric microplate reader. Standards and samples are incubated with a biotinylated anti-target antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate, followed by TMB substrate; the resulting yellow product is quantified by its absorbance and the target concentration calculated against a standard curve. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported sensitivity is <0.067 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Recovery has been demonstrated in serum (average 91%, range 80–102%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 90%, range 81–100%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 84%, range 80–89%, n=5), with recovery maintained at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its stated expiration date.
