Human Protease, Serine 23 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human PRSS23 (Protease, Serine 23) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for PRSS23 immobilised on the wells.

Standards and samples are added to the wells where PRSS23 is captured, followed by incubation with biotinylated anti-PRSS23 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The standard curve then allows PRSS23 concentration to be calculated. The stated assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.123 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Reported average recovery values (n=5) are 91% for serum (range 83%-100%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 90%-98%), and 94% for heparin plasma (range 90%-99%), with performance assessed across dilution factors from 1:2 to 1:16.
