Human Protease, Serine 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Trypsin 1 (Protease, Serine 1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for Trypsin 1 pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where Trypsin 1 is captured by the immobilised antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Trypsin 1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour, measured as absorbance at 450 nm, is proportional to the amount of Trypsin 1 captured in each well.

The kit offers a sensitivity of <3.9 U/L and an assay range of 7.81-500 U/L. It is validated for human serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples, with reported average recovery values of 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma, and 84% for heparin plasma. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date. The assay is read on a colourimetric microplate reader.
