Human Proprotein Convertase Subtilisin/Kexin Type 9 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative determination of human Proprotein Convertase Subtilisin/Kexin Type 9 (PCSK9) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with a biotinylated anti-PCSK9 detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate, producing a colourmetric readout measured at 450 nm. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported sensitivity is <0.125 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery performance averaged 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 spanned 74% to 108% across the three sample types. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
