Human Proprotein Convertase Subtilisin/Kexin Type 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Proprotein Convertase Subtilisin/Kexin Type 2 (PCSK2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for PCSK2 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where PCSK2 is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-PCSK2 Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by incubation with an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to generate a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and the PCSK2 concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

Key specifications include a sensitivity of <0.101 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
