Human Pronociceptin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Nociceptin (also referred to in the catalogue as Pronociceptin) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. A biotinylated anti-Nociceptin detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate are used, with signal developed using TMB substrate and read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Quantitative performance has been characterised with a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.058 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery values were 80%–102% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 81%–100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80%–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87%–91%, 87%–107%, 74%–101% and 92%–97% for serum; 90%–105%, 84%–101%, 90%–101% and 79%–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84%–95%, 92%–105%, 82%–105% and 89%–91% for heparin plasma. Kit components are shipped at +4°C for storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
