Human Proline Rich Protein 4, Lacrimal ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the quantitative determination of human Proline Rich Protein 4, Lacrimal (PRR4) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with a PRR4-specific capture antibody. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where PRR4 is bound by the immobilised antibody, then detected using a biotinylated anti-PRR4 antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution.

Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, and the concentration of PRR4 is calculated by reference to the standard curve. The kit demonstrates a sensitivity of <0.125 ng/ml across an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.
