Human Programmed Cell Death Protein 5 ELISA Kit

The format employs a microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for PDCD5. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and PDCD5 present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-PDCD5 antibody is added and binds the captured protein, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of PDCD5 captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

Manufacturer-reported performance values include a sensitivity of less than 0.18 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.468–30 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
