Human Progesterone Receptor ELISA Kit

The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific for Progesterone Receptor immobilised on the wells. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Progesterone Receptor antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP reaction; the resulting blue product turns yellow after addition of stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader for quantification against a standard curve.

Reported performance includes a product range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.114 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) showed averages of 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Linearity was demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for each of these sample types. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
