Human Procollagen III C-Terminal Propeptide ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich-format ELISA for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Procollagen III C-Terminal Propeptide in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a target-specific antibody pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added and the target is captured by the immobilised antibody, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Procollagen III C-Terminal Propeptide Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is then added; catalysis produces a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450 nm with a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a working range of 12.5–800 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <5.3 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Recovery has been demonstrated in serum (80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81%–101%, average 91%) and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%) across n=5 samples. The kit is run on a pre-coated microplate of 12 × 8 well strips and components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed.
