Human Podocalyxin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Podocalyxin (PODXL) in urine, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific for PODXL immobilised on the plate to capture target from standards and test samples.

Quantitative performance is supported by a product range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.053 ng/ml, with the full protocol completed in 4 hours 30 minutes. Detection is colorimetric: TMB substrate is converted to a yellow product after addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader to derive concentration from the standard curve.

Validated spike-and-recovery performance in serum (range 80–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%, n=5) demonstrates matrix compatibility, with parallel dilution linearity also reported for each sample type. Kit components — including the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers — are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit is not to be used past the expiration date.
