Human Plectin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Plectin in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) employs a sandwich immunoassay format in which an immobilised antibody specific for Plectin captures the target, a biotinylated anti-Plectin antibody binds the captured analyte, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate with TMB substrate produces a blue-to-yellow colour change proportional to Plectin concentration, read at 450 nm on a colourmetric microplate reader.

The assay has a reported product range of 1.56–100 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.57 ng/ml and a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been evaluated in serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, average 84%, n=5). Components are supplied for storage at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, with reactivity confirmed for human samples.
