Human Platelet Factor 4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Platelet Factor 4 (PF4) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for PF4, and the assay follows a standard capture–detection workflow using a biotinylated anti-PF4 antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

The kit is reactive with human samples and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader. The stated assay range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.8 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recoveries in spike-and-recovery testing are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma, with corresponding recovery ranges of 80%–102%, 81%–100% and 80%–89% respectively.
