Human Platelet Derived Growth Factor C ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Platelet Derived Growth Factor C (PDGFC) in plasma. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate on which an anti-PDGFC antibody is immobilised. Standards and test samples are added, and any PDGFC present is bound to the wells. After washing, a biotinylated anti-PDGFC antibody is added, followed by HRP-avidin and TMB substrate. The resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated by reference to a standard curve. Total assay time is 4h 30m.

Validated for human plasma, the kit has a measuring range of 125-8000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <43 pg/ml. In spike-and-recovery testing with n=5, average recoveries were 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilution linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16, giving overall observed ranges of 74-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and 82-105% for heparin plasma. The kit includes pre-coated strips, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as indicated.
