Human Platelet Derived Growth Factor AB ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Platelet Derived Growth Factor AB (PDGFAB) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate with an immobilised anti-PDGFAB capture antibody. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-PDGFAB detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with PDGFAB concentration calculated against the standard curve.

The kit has a stated product range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 27 pg/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values (n=5) for neat samples are 80–102% (average 91%) in serum, 81–101% (average 91%) in EDTA plasma and 80–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma. Linearity has been characterised at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
