Human Plasminogen Activator, Tissue ELISA Kit

This quantitative sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro measurement of human Tissue Plasminogen Activator in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate and is read on a colourmetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The kit uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Tissue Plasminogen Activator immobilised on the plate to capture target from standards and test samples. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Tissue Plasminogen Activator Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of target captured in each well. The reported assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of <6.7 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers. Storage conditions vary by component, with some stored at +4°C and others at -20°C. The manufacturer advises not to use the kit past its expiration date.
