From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Plakophilin 1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and employs a biotinylated anti-Plakophilin 1 detection antibody with an HRP-avidin conjugate; the signal is developed using TMB substrate and read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader.
Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of <0.122 ng/ml and a measuring range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with an assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. In sample spike-and-recovery testing, serum averaged 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), EDTA plasma averaged 90% (range 81–100%, n=5), and heparin plasma averaged 84% (range 80–89%, n=5). Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml), and 5 adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
The product is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
