Human Pim-3 Oncogene ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human PIM3 (Pim-3 Oncogene) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using a microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for PIM3. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where PIM3 present in each sample is bound by the immobilised capture antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-PIM3 detection antibody is added, followed by HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate solution. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with PIM3 concentration calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The reported measuring range is 0.625–40 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.228 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery performance has been characterised for serum (range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%), with n=5 per matrix. Dilution linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in these same matrices. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
