Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Human Phosphoserine Aminotransferase 1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Phosphoserine Aminotransferase in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses an antibody specific for Phosphoserine Aminotransferase pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate (12 x 8 well strips). Standards and test samples are bound to the immobilised antibody, then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Phosphoserine Aminotransferase Antibody, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction produces a blue colour that turns yellow on addition of stop solution, and the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of target captured. Concentration is calculated from O.D. absorbance at 450nm against a standard curve.

Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of 0.064 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Typical recovery in serum averages 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma averages 90% (range 81–100%, n=5), and in heparin plasma averages 84% (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity data is provided across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The kit is for research use only.
