Human Phospholipid Scramblase 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative in vitro determination of human Phospholipid Scramblase 1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Scramblase 1 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and the target is captured by the immobilised antibody. Following washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Scramblase 1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After further incubation and washing, TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, and the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.067 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery in serum (n=5) spans 80%–102% with an average of 91%, in EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%–101% with an average of 91%, and in heparin plasma (n=5) 80%–89% with an average of 84%. The platform is a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, read colorimetrically. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
