Human Phospholipase A2 Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com intended for the quantitative in vitro determination of human Phospholipase A2 Receptor 1 (PLA2R) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate with an antibody specific for PLA2R. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where target PLA2R is captured by the immobilized antibody. After incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-PLA2R detection antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate then produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The PLA2R concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The kit has a sensitivity of 0.065 ng/ml and a measurement range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. The full assay procedure takes 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery data were: serum averaged 91% across 80%-102% (n=5), EDTA plasma averaged 91% across 81%-101% (n=5), and heparin plasma averaged 84% across 80%-89% (n=5).
