Human Phospholipase A2, Lipoprotein Associated ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Lipoprotein-Associated Phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids, with reactivity restricted to human samples.

The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. The quantitative sandwich format employs an antibody specific for Lp-PLA2 pre-coated on the plate, a Biotinylated Anti-Lp-PLA2 detection antibody, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate visualised using TMB substrate. Reported sensitivity is <0.269 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.625–40 ng/ml. Spiked recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 91% in EDTA plasma (range 81–101%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5); dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 is reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
