Human Phospholipase A2, Group IVD ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human phospholipase A2 group IVD (PLA2G4D) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for PLA2G4D. Standards or samples are added to the wells, where the target binds the immobilised capture antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-PLA2G4D detection antibody is added, followed by HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added; catalysis produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the PLA2G4D concentration is determined by reference to a standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.064 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The platform is a pre-coated microplate supplied as 12 x 8-well strips, with colorimetric detection. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
