Human Phospholipase A2 Activating Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Phospholipase A2 Activator Protein (PLAP) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated anti-PLAP detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with a TMB substrate that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.114 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m, and kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) gave averages of 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, and 89–91% for heparin plasma. Included components are the pre-coated microplate, two vials of lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml), and five adhesive plate sealers.
