Human Phospholipase A1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human PLA1A/NMD. The kit is designed for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Performance characteristics include a standard assay range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of 34 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Optical density is read at 450nm and the concentration of PLA1A/NMD is calculated by reference to a standard curve. Across five replicates per matrix, the manufacturer reports average recovery of 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma.

The assay uses a 12 x 8 well pre-coated microplate strip format. Detection relies on a Biotinylated Anti-PLA1A/NMD Antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with an acidic stop solution. TMB produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after the stop solution is added, and the density of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of PLA1A/NMD captured in each well. Provided components include the pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and Plate Sealers.
