Human Phosphoinositide-3-Kinase Catalytic Beta Polypeptide ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human PI 3 Kinase p110 beta in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate platform arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader, with absorbance measured at 450 nm to calculate results against a standard curve.

The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for PI 3 Kinase p110 beta is pre-coated onto the plate. Standards and test samples are added, and the target present in each well binds to the immobilised antibody. Following washing, a Biotinylated Anti-PI 3 Kinase p110 beta Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow on addition of an acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of PI 3 Kinase p110 beta captured in each well.

According to the manufacturer's data, sensitivity is <0.059 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
