Human Phosphatidylinositol Binding Clathrin Assembly Protein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human PICALM (Phosphatidylinositol Binding Clathrin Assembly Protein) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with detection performed colorimetrically by measuring absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer, sensitivity is <0.126 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 h 30 min. Standards and samples are captured by an immobilised anti-PICALM antibody, then detected with a biotinylated anti-PICALM antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is visualised using TMB substrate solution, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with the intensity of yellow proportional to the amount of PICALM captured.

Recovery data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
