Human Persephin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Persephin (PSPN) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for PSPN. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-PSPN Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate solution. After addition of the stop solution, absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader; the colour intensity is proportional to the amount of PSPN captured in each well.

The kit reports a quantitative range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <13.4 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and should not be used past the stated expiration date. Detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated microplate.

Reported mean recovery is 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated from 1:2 to 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
