From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor Gamma Coactivator 1 Alpha (PGC1 alpha) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. It is supplied as a pre-coated microplate format and uses a biotinylated anti-PGC1 alpha antibody with HRP-avidin conjugate, visualised using TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.061 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Mean recovery values (n=5) are stated as 91% for serum (range 83–100%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 90–98%), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89–102%). Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.
