Human Peroxiredoxin 5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Peroxiredoxin 5 in tissue homogenates, cerebrospinal fluid, or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated microtiter plate and a Biotinylated Anti-Peroxiredoxin 5 Antibody, used in combination with an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic stop solution, producing a yellow colour whose density is proportional to the amount of Peroxiredoxin 5 captured in each well; absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay range is 0.781–50 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.34 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date. Supplied items include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and adhesive plate sealers.

Reported recovery values are 80%–102% (average 91%, n=5) in serum, 81%–100% (average 90%, n=5) in EDTA plasma, and 80%–89% (average 84%, n=5) in heparin plasma. Dilution linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples (n=5 for each matrix).
