Human Peroxiredoxin 2 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Peroxiredoxin 2/PRP in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with a specific capture antibody; standards and samples are added and any target present binds to the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Peroxiredoxin 2/PRP Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate are added in sequence, and TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction. The colour changes from blue to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader with concentration calculated from a standard curve.

The assay has a stated sensitivity of <0.35 ng/ml and a working range of 0.781–50 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m on a pre-coated microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.

Validated spike-and-recovery values are: serum (n=5) average 91%, range 80–102%; EDTA plasma (n=5) average 90%, range 81–100%; heparin plasma (n=5) average 84%, range 80–89%. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions is also reported for each matrix.
