Human Peripheral Myelin Protein 22 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Peripheral Myelin Protein 22 (PMP22) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which an antibody specific for PMP22 is pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and test samples are introduced, captured PMP22 is bound by a Biotinylated Anti-PMP22 Antibody, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is used together with TMB substrate to produce a colourmetric readout proportional to PMP22 concentration, read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The product is reactive with human samples and is suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity is stated as <0.064 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma and 94% for heparin plasma (n=5 each), with reported ranges of 83-100%, 90-103% and 90-99% respectively. Dilution linearity is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions, with ranges of 90-99%, 82-108%, 82-96% and 92-103% for serum (n=5); 84-105%, 88-94%, 89-107% and 72-106% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 89-92%, 88-108%, 84-102% and 90-98% for heparin plasma (n=5). Assay time is approximately 4h 30m and results are read on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, to be stored as instructed at +4°C or -20°C. The kit should not be used past its expiration date.
