Human Period Circadian Protein 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Period Circadian Protein 1 (PER1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate and a biotinylated anti-PER1 antibody detected with an HRP-avidin conjugate, visualised using a TMB substrate that produces a measurable colour change after the addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the PER1 concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of <0.114 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Across tested samples, average recovery values were 91% in serum (n=5, range 80%–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%–100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored between +4°C and -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its stated expiration date.
