Human Perilipin 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Perilipin 4 (also referenced as KIAA1881) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated microplate to which an antibody specific for the target has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; a biotinylated anti-target antibody then binds the captured analyte, followed by HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity below 0.117 ng/ml, a working range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery data show average recovery of 91% (range 80–102%) in serum (n=5), 90% (range 81–100%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 84% (range 80–89%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity has been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across the same sample types.
